The 16th of July witnessed a momentous occasion for Royal College.The mot Significant of a year long line up of calebrations was held, a Special Assembly that was graced by the Head of State, His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksha,President of the Democratic Socialists Republic of Sri Lanka a vast number of prominent distinguished citizens of Sri Lanka, both past alumni and other.The Minister of Education, the Leader of the Opposition, numerous Members of the Parliament, the Presidential Secretary, Commanders of the Army and Navy amongst many others, were present at the occasion.Over 5000 Students were present at the College Complex, along with the members of the administration, the old tutorial staff, old boys and parents, and were addressed by the His Excellency, the President,who extolled the virtues and worth of Royal College and urged all those present to strive to uphold her legacy in serving the Nation.
